COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT & ADVENTURES

Volunteering for the YES home shows our youth the impact a community can have on an organization as well as the individual youth. Our youth are shown that there are other individuals in the community that can care about them and can show this in a variety of ways. YES is grateful for the continuous support from many individuals in our community.

The YES Home is also blessed to be able to participate in many different outings with our youth.  Thanks in part to many different organizations, churches, donations and through YES funding.  YES strives to provide our youth with as much community involvement as possible to:

• Increase self-esteem and confidence.

• Give youth the opportunity to make their own choices.

• Provide satisfaction, enjoyment and pleasure.

• Enable individuals to become involved and feel like a part of their community.

• Provide the opportunity to gain and develop new contacts and friends.

• Improve mental and physical health by participating in sport and exercise programs.

• Increase independence which leads to increased opportunities.

• Give youth the opportunity to explore new recreational interests.
