Practical Skills to Prepare Youth for Adulthood

How We Prepare Youth for Independence
Independent Living Skills
Youth participate in independent living skills groups that help them prepare for adulthood and greater self-sufficiency. Through hands-on learning and guided practice, youth build practical skills in budgeting, cooking, household care, personal hygiene, employment readiness, transportation, time management, healthy relationships, communication, and decision-making. Group activities are tailored to each young person's age, abilities, and goals.
