Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must:
-
Be at least 21 years old
-
Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
-
Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
-
Be able to work effectively with youth, families, coworkers, agency representatives, and community partners
-
Demonstrate respect for people of all backgrounds and identities
-
Understand trauma-informed care or be willing to learn trauma-responsive practices
-
Protect resident privacy and follow all agency confidentiality requirements
-
Successfully complete all required criminal history, fingerprinting, child protective services, and other employment background checks
-
Provide military discharge documentation, if applicable
-
Complete required pre-employment health screening and ongoing tuberculosis testing
-
Obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification
-
Complete the YES Home's 40-hour orientation and required childcare training
-
Be available to work second-shift hours and shifts lasting approximately 8–12 hours
-
Be flexible as schedules may change to meet the needs of the youth in our care
Full-time employees may work up to 40 hours per week. Work schedules are generally prepared monthly.
