Youth Encouragement Services is committed to providing intentional services that instill hope and empowerment in a safe environment, offering choice and respecting life experiences. The YES Home embraces a universal trauma informed perspective when working with youth and families.
To create and uphold a safe culture of hope, compassion and empowerment.
The YES Home is a residential group home for youths ages 13 thru 18, providing a structured, nurturing environment for abused, neglected and abandoned children. The YES Home is a Tax Deductible 501 (C) (3) "Not-for-Profit" organization for both long term and emergency shelter. The YES Home is a member of IARCCA, an Association of Children & Family Services, as well as The Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce. We are housed in a historic 1882 building once known as the Poor Farm. It is also listed in the National Historic Landmark Registry.
The YES Home is currently raising funds to renovate the first floor of the building in order to serve more youth. The goal is to serve youth ages 10-14 on the first floor and continue with older youth on the second floor. We also hope to raise funds to build an activity center on site for our youth to improve their mental and physical wellness.
