Youth Encouragement Services (the YES Home) is a trauma informed agency that encourages youth to achieve their highest potential, improve behaviors and make positive choices. We provide a family like atmosphere for youth to develop pro-social, independent living and employment skills. We promote connections with youth, their families, and community.
Youth. Families. Connection.
The YES Home is a residential group home for youths ages 12-20, providing a structured, nurturing environment for abused, neglected and abandoned children. The YES Home is a Tax Deductible 501 (C) (3) "Not-for-Profit" organization for both long term and emergency shelter. The YES Home is a member of IARCA, the Indiana Association of Resources and Child Advocacy as well as The Dearborn and Ripley County Chambers of Commerce. We are housed in a historic 1882 building once known as the Poor Farm. It is also listed in the National Historic Landmark Registry.
The YES Home is currently raising funds to renovate the first floor of the building in order to serve more youth. The goal is to serve youth ages 10-14 on the first floor and continue with older youth on the second floor. We are excited to expand our programming to include both our new recreational building and greenhouse.
